Urban landscape in Martin Vybíral's photography

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá životem a dílem fotografa Martina Vybírala. Dílo tohoto autora odborné veřejnosti není neznámé. Patří mezi přední osobnosti české fotografie. Fotografie tohoto autora můžeme nalézt v mnoha odborných publikacích a časopisech. Autor se ve své tvorbě zabývá především městskou krajinou a předměty, které jsou součástí této krajiny. Práce je rozdělena do dvou hlavních částí, první část přibližuje život a tvorbu Martina Vybírala. V druhé části dochází k porovnání díla tohoto fotografa s díly ostatních dvou fotografů a to Marie Kratochvílové, která stejně tak jako Vybíral ráda fotografovala městskou krajinu, a Jana Svobody, se kterým má Martin Vybíral téměř totožnou fotografii s motivem tyče.

Abstract:

The thesis focuses on the life and work of the photographer Martin Vybíral. The production of this artist is not known to academic audience. Vybíral is among the most prominent representatives of the Czech photography. We can find his photographs in many specialized publications. The artist’s work focuses mainly on urban landscape and thematically related objects. The thesis is divided into two main parts; the first part is focused on the life and work of Martin Vybíral. The second part provides a comparison of Vybíral’s work with the works of two other photographers. The first one is Marie Kratochvílová, who shared his interest in the urban photograph. The second photographer is Jan Svoboda, with whom Martin Vybíral shares the same motif of a stick in one of his photographs.
