Differences in Territorial Concentration of Creative Industries in Ústí Region

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá subjekty kulturně kreativních odvětví a jejich koncentrací napříč okresy Ústeckého kraje. Jejím cílem je zjištění, zda, případně jaké, existují rozdíly v koncentraci těchto subjektů a jaké mohou být důvody těchto rozdílů v kontextu odvětví. Pro zjištění rozdílů byly využity kvantitativní geografické metody a metody komparace pro porovnání mezi okresy na základě přepočtu dat získaných primárně z registru ekonomických subjektů a terénního výzkumu. V práci bylo zjištěno, že opravdu existují rozdíly mezi okresy v koncentraci KKO. Tyto rozdíly jsou dány především rozdílnými předpoklady napříč okresy pro vznik KKO a faktu, že většina subjektů KKO jsou fyzické osoby. Okresy a dílčí města rozdílně podporují kulturu a kreativitu (se zaměřením především na tradičnější KKO), mezi okresy jsou rozdíly i v institucionální základně, jako jsou školy a větší hráči na poli KKO jako divadla, nebo další instituce podporující rozvoj KKO a podnikání v těchto oborech; a rozdělení subjektů je ovlivněno i polohou okresů, kde subjekty z okresů blíže hlavního města a na spojnicích s ním, jako jsou železnice a dálnice, se stávají spíše obchodními partnery s obyvateli a podniky z Prahy, namísto konkurenty a to nejen v kulturních a kreativních oborech.

Abstract:

The work revolves around subjects of cultural and creative industries and their concentration across the districts of the Ústí Region. Its goal is to find out whether there are, or what are differences in the concentration of these entities and what may be the reasons for these differences in the context of the industry. Quantitative geographical methods and comparison methods were used to identify differences between districts based on recalculation of data obtained primarily from the register of economic entities and field research. In the work, it was found that there truly are differences between districts in the concentration of CCI. These differences are primarily due to different assumptions across districts for the creation of CCI and the fact that most CCI subjects are natural persons. Districts and their cities support culture and creativity in different ways (focusing mainly on more traditional CCI), there are also differences between districts in the institutional base, such as schools and large players in the field of CCI such as theaters, or other institutions supporting the development of CCI and entrepreneurship in these fields ; and the differences are also influenced by the geographic location of the districts, where subjects from districts closer to the capital and those well connected with it (through railways and highways) are more likely to become business partners with residents and businesses from Prague, instead of competitors, which stands even outside of the cultural and creative industries.
