Internal audit, why originated, his main role and further development

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce „Interní audit, proč vznikl, jeho hlavní úloha a další vývoj” zhodnocuje provedení interního auditu ve společnosti Trezor test s r.o. Na základě literární rešerše je cílem této bakalářské práce provedení interního auditu ve zkušební laboratoři, který ověří konkrétní aktivity zkušební laboratoře, prověří efektivnost systému managementu, získá informace pro jeho zlepšování a nabídne praktickou nápravu odhalených zjištění. V teoretické části bakalářské práce analyzuji historii a vývoj interního auditu, jeho nezastupitelnou úlohu v organizacích, rozdíly interního a externího auditu, zmiňuji standardy pro profesionální praxi interního auditu, popisuji vztah interního auditu k procesu řízení rizik a představuji postup při provádění interního auditu. V praktické části bakalářské práce se zaměřuji na charakteristiku společnosti Trezor test s r.o. a na způsob provádění interního auditu v této společnosti. Na základě vypracování ukázkového případu interního auditu provedeného ve zkušební laboratoři společnosti Trezor test s r.o., analyzuji způsob provádění interního auditu a všechny úkony s ním spojené včetně postupu při zpracování závěrečné zprávy. Prezentuji zde výsledky vyplývající z auditního šetření a předkládám návrhy, zjištění a následná doporučení, jak by se dal proces ještě více zefektivnit.

Abstract:

Bachelor thesis "Internal audit, why was it created, its major objective and further development" assesses the internal audit in company Trezor test Ltd. Based on a literature review, the objective of this thesis is the internal audit testing laboratory to verify the specific activity, test laboratory will examine the effectiveness of the management system, obtains information for its improvement and offers a practical remedy revealed findings. The theoretical part of the thesis analyzes the history and development of internal audit, its irreplaceable role in organizations, differences of internal and external audit, I mention Standards for the Professional Practice of internal auditing, I describe the relationship of internal audit to the risk management process and I introduce the practice in the implementation of internal audit. In the practical part of the thesis I focuse on the characteristics of company Trezor test Ltd. and the way of implementation the internal audit in the company. On the basis of the elaboration of a case of internal audit conducted by the testing laboratory of the company Trezor test Ltd., I describe the method of implementation of internal audit and all acts associated with it including the procedure for preparing the final report. I present here the results arising from the audit investigation and submit proposals findings and subsequent recommendations on how to streamline the process.
