The History of Tin Mining in Zadní Hřebečná Mauritius Mine. The Mining Development in the End of the 19th and the First Half of the 20th Century

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá historickým vývojem těžby cínu v dole sv. Mauritia na Zadní Hřebečné v západní části Krušných hor. Zachycuje mezníky cínové těžby v rozmezí 400 let fungování dolu, od 16. do 20. století. Téma je zpracováno v širších souvislostech geolo-gických a historických, tedy v kontextu s dějinami rudného hornictví v českých zemích. Stěžejním sledovaným obdobím, na základě dostupných pramenů, je konec 19. století a první polovina 20. století. Závěrečná část je věnována postavení regionálních dějin ve výuce dějepisu s přihlédnutím k tématu hornictví v Západní části Krušnohoří.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with a historical development of tin extraction in St. Mauritius mine in Zadní Hřebečná in the west part of the Ore Mountains. It refers to the important periods of tin mining in the course of 400 years; from 16th to 20th centuy. The topic inclu-des geological and historical context, so the history of the ore mining in the Czech lands accordingly. The observed period (according to the available sources) is the end of 19th century and the beginning of 20th century. The last part deals with the history of the region in an educational process in History lessons, especially the mining in the west part of the Ore Mountains.
