The Causes of Price Differences between Eurozone Countries

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce na téma „Příčiny cenových rozdílů v zemích eurozóny“ je svým obsahem zaměřena na vymezení existujících příčin cenových rozdílů, jež svým působením podněcují či jinak ovlivňují cenový vývoj k nekonvergenčním či divergenčním tendencím, a na vymezení mechanismů, skrze které tyto příčiny působí na vznik a přetrvávání cenových rozdílů vzhledem k eliminaci potencionality uskutečnění arbitráže vedoucí k naplnění zákona jedné ceny a dalším příčinám zasahujícím do procesu cenotvorby. Cílem této práce je komparace cen vybrané obchodovatelné komodity mezi vybranými státy eurozóny a identifikování konkrétně figurujících příčin cenových rozdílů podněcujících vznik a přetrvávání daných cenových diferenciálů.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis “The Causes of Price Differences Between Eurozone Countries” deals with identifying of existing causes of price differences, which stimulate or in some way influence price trend to non-convergence or divergence tendencies. It also deals with description of mechanism through which these causes initiate the rise and persistence of price differences on the base of elimination of potencial realization of arbitrage leading to fulfillment of the law of one price and other causes intervening to pricing process. The aim of this thesis is to compare prices of chosen tradable commodity between chosen eurozone countries and to identify specific causes of price differences which affect the rise and persistence of price differentials.
