Abstract:
Rakouská teorie hospodářského cyklu vysvětluje cyklické kolísání výkonu ekonomiky pomocí změn v peněžní nabídce. V první části práce je popsána tato teorie a formulována testovatelná hypotéza, že zaměstnanost v delších, kapitálově náročných výrobních procesech je citlivější na změny úrokové míry než zaměstnanost v kratších, kapitálově méně náročných procesech. Austrian business cycle theory explains cyclical fluctuation of the output of an economy with changes in money supply. In the first part of this thesis the theory is described and a hypothesis is formulated that employment in longer, more capital-intensive production processes is more sensitive to changes in interest rate than employment in shorter, less capital-intensive processes.
