Monitorovanie siete hrá kľúčovú rolu pre správny manažment akýchkoľvek sietí. Sú to práve sieťové toky, prostredníctvom ktorých môže monitorovanie siete ponúknuť správcom siete širší pohlaď na dianie v sieti.
