The Eastern Partnership from Czech perspective

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá politikou Východního partnerství, která představuje východní dimenzi Evropské politiky sousedství, jež byla formulována jako odpověď na Východní rozšíření EU v roce 2004. Politika Východního partnerství je v práci zachycena z pohledu ČR, přičemž je analyzován postoj ČR při prosazování celé politiky resp. jejích jednotlivých iniciativ, kroky a role, kterou ČR sehrála při formálních i neformálních setkáních zaměřených na tuto problematiku. Aby byl obraz českého vztahu k politice Východního partnerství kompletní a relevantní, je v práci zachycen nejen český přístup na rovině vládní, ale i postoj českých podnikatelských subjektů a nevládních neziskových organizací tedy zástupců české veřejnosti.

Abstract:

The thesis is focused on the policy of the Eastern Partnership, which constitutes the east dimension of the European neighbourhood policy that was launched after the EU's enlargement in 2004. The Eastern Partnership is analysed from Czech perspective. The thesis deals with the Czech attitude towards the Eastern partnership and depicts steps that have been taken by the Czech Republic in order to enforce and promote the policy at both official and unofficial meetings. To provide a complete and relevant Czech view of the policy, the thesis also describes the contributions of Czech non-governmental organisations and Czech businesses to the policy.
