The System of Coop. between the Insurance Companies and the Insurance Brokers

Abstract:

Systém spolupráce pojišťoven a pojišťovacích makléřů je oblast pojistného trhu, která je neprůhledná a značně odlišná od jiných způsobů zprostředkování pojištění. Většina veřejnosti neví, jak funguje zprostředkovatelská činnost v pojištění, zvláště pak v případě kategorie „pojišťovací makléři“. Význam práce je spatřován v tom, že může pomoci nejen laické veřejnosti alespoň částečně se zorientovat v této problematice a pochopit rozdíly mezi pojišťovacími makléři a ostatními typy pojišťovacích zprostředkovatelů. Činnost pojišťovacích makléřů je velmi rozdílná, nebo by alespoň rozdílná být měla, ve srovnání s ostatními pojišťovacími makléři. A práce tyto rozdíly potvrzuje. Výsledkem by mělo být zmapování zprostředkovatelské činnosti v pojišťovnictví a doporučení ke změnám zákonů upravujících tuto podnikatelskou činnost, aby došlo k odstranění některých nedokonalostí pojistného trhu. Jednou z cenných informací, které jsou v práci uvedené, je počet registrovaných pojišťovacích zprostředkovatelů k 31. 12. 2008, a to dle jednotlivých kategorií. V závěru jsou cíle naplněny, a to uvedením několika doporučení pro změnu zákonů a dalších podstatných předpisů.

Abstract:

The cooperation of insurance companies and insurance brokers is the area of the insurance market, which is opaque and very different from other forms of insurance. Most of the public does not know how it works in the insurance brokerage business, especially in case of the category of "insurance brokers". The importance of this work can be seen in the fact that it can help not only the general public to get at least partially acquainted with the issue and understand the differences between insurance brokers and other types of insurance intermediaries. The insurance brokers activity is very different, or at least should be different, from other insurance brokers. And this work confirms these differences. The result should be mapping activities of intermediaries in the insurance industry and recommendations on amendments to legal acts governing the business in order to correct certain imperfections in the insurance market. One piece of valuable information that is listed in the work, is the number of registered insurance brokers as per 31 12. 2008, according to individual categories. In conclusion, the objective is fulfilled, and that by indicating several recommendations for changing relevant legislation.
