Distribution cooperative as an entrepreneurial subject

Abstract:

Předmětem této diplomové práce je analýza odbytového družstva jako podnikatelského subjektu. V rámci teoretické části se práce věnuje historii družstevního hnutí, definici družstva v odborné literatuře, tzv. principům družstevnictví, právnímu zakotvení družstva včetně zakotvení tzv. evropského družstva (SCE). Uvádí základní statistické informace o činnosti družstev v České republice se zaměřením na družstva odbytová. V praktické části následně obsahuje analýzu činnosti reálného odbytového družstva z hlediska uvedených zásad družstevnictví, definuje trh, na němž působí a posuzuje efektivitu těchto činnosti. Uvádí, jak činnost družstva vnímají jeho členové. Prezentuje závěry provedené finanční analýzy družstva. V závěrečné části poukazuje na zjištěné nedostatky ve fungování analyzovaného družstva a navrhuje jejích možná řešení.

Abstract:

The subject matter of the thesis is the distribution cooperative´s analysis as an entrepreneurial subject. Within the theoretical part of the thesis it deals with the history of cooperative movement, different definitions of the cooperative in the professional literature, the co-operative principles, the legal regulation of the cooperative in the Czech law and the legal regulation of the European Cooperative Society (SCE). The thesis shows the basic statistics about the existence of the cooperative and the distribution cooperative in particular in the Czech Republic. Within the practical part of the thesis it analyzes a real distribution cooperative from the perspective mentioned in the theory. The thesis shows the point of view of the cooperative´s members on the benefits of the cooperative. The financial analysis of the cooperative is made in order to connect the material feature with the economic feature of the cooperative. In the final part of the thesis, several issues in the cooperative´s operation is described and possible solutions for them is provided.
