Management of Cash-Flow

Abstract:

Záměrem diplomové práce je identifikovat oblasti, které jsou z hlediska řízení peněžních toků v konkrétní obchodní společnosti stěžejní a navrhnout konkrétní opatření, postupy či způsoby řízení, které ve svém důsledku zajistí zvýšenou schopnost dané společnosti generovat kladné Cash-Flow z provozní činnosti. Teoretická část práce se zabývá popisem způsobů řízení hotovosti s akcentem na oblast peněžních toků z provozní činnosti. V první řadě jsou představeny hlavní aspekty, mající významný dopad na tvorbu hotovosti. Součástí teoretické části práce je také prezentace jednotlivých kategorií tvorby Cash-Flow, včetně přístupů k jejich zjišťování a měření. Významný prostor je věnován prezentaci příslušných způsobů řízení složek pracovního kapitálu. V praktické části práce jsou analyzovány jednotlivé oblasti, které mají vliv na Cash-Flow a navrženy postupy, které povedou ke zlepšení schopnosti společnosti generovat kladné Cash-Flow z provozní činnosti, včetně vyčíslení vlivů těchto opatření na tvorbu hotovosti.

Abstract:

The purpose of the thesis is to identify those areas which are crucial from the view of cash creation in the particular business company and to propose specific measures, i.e. processes or ways of management, resulting in the increase of the company’s capability to generate positive cash flow from the operations. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the description of the ways of cash management with the emphasis on the area of cash flow from the operations. First of all there are introduced the main aspects, having significant impact on cash creation. In addition the theoretical part includes the presentation of individual categories of cash flow creation, including the approaches to its determination and measuring. Considerable space is devoted to the presentation of particular ways of management of working capital components. The objective of the practical part of the thesis is to suggest processes and ways of management which will lead to the company’s improved ability to generate positive cash flow from the operations, including the quantification of the affect of these measures on cash creation.
