Economic aspects of the application of cultural centers by an example municipal district Prague 10

Abstract:

Cílem bakalářské práce je vyhodnotit činnost organizací a institucí v oblasti kultury v městské části Praha 10 a vytipovat hlavní příležitosti pro rozvoj kulturních aktivit v jednotlivých rajonech této městské části. Z hlediska výzkumných metod je práce postavena na: I. sekundární analýze disponibilních dokumentů o realitě kulturního života MČ Praha 10, II. řízených rozhovorech s představiteli kulturního života, kulturních organizacích a kulturní správy MČ Praha 10, III. dotazníkovém šetření, názorů a postojů občanů městské části ve vztahu k podmínkám rozvoje kulturního života. Práce je teoreticky zakotvena v publikacích zabývajících se urbanistickými podmínkami pro rozvoj kulturních aktivit v evropských městech. Hlavním výsledkem práce je zjištění, že v jednotlivých urbanistických okrscích bude účelné rozvíjet dílčí "mikrocentra" kulturního života ve vztahu k sociálně-demografickým charakteristikám bydlícího obyvatelstva - nepotvrdila se vstupní teze, že veškerý kulturní život městské části je možné koncentrovat do jediného ústředního centra. Výzkumy naopak doložily dominantní úlohu Vršovického zámečku a potřebu jeho postupné transformace do podoby víceúčelového kulturního zařízení, které by uspokojilo poptávku po kulturních akcích širokého okruhu obyvatelstva.

Abstract:

The main goal of this work is to evaluate the activities of organizations and institutions in the field of culture in the district of Prague 10 and identify major opportunities for the development of cultural activities in each force of this district. This work is based on those research methods: I. secondary analysis of available documents about the reality of the cultural life of Prague 10, II. the interviews with representatives of cultural life, cultural organizations and cultural management of Praha 10, III. the survey research, opinions and attitudes of the citizens of the district in relation to the conditions of development of the culture life. The work is theoretically based on publications dealing with urban conditions for the development of cultural activities in European cities. The main result is the discovery that in the individual urban districts will be effectively evolve single "micro center" of culture life in relation to socio-demographic characteristics of the living population -- the input thesis was not confirmed that all the cultural life of Prague 10 can be concentrated into the main center. The other way, the research demonstrated a dominant role of "Vršovický zámeček" and his need of its gradual transformation into a multipurpose cultural facility that would satisfy a demand for cultural events appointed to a wide range of citizens.
