Myocardial Infarction and the Golden Hour

Abstract:

Infarkt myokardu je závažné akutní onemocnění, které představuje přímé ohrožení života. Česká republika patří díky rozsáhlé síti specializovaných kardiocenter a jejich non ? stop provozu k absolutní světové špičce v léčbě akutního infarktu myokardu. U každého infarktu myokardu je zásadní prioritou co nejrychlejší zprůchodnění ucpané koronární tepny. Jedině tak lze zabránit nezvratnému poškození srdečního svalu s trvalými následky nebo úmrtím pacienta. Čas od vzniku potíží po zprůchodnění koronární tepny označovaný jako ,,golden ? hour? je pro další osud pacienta zcela klíčový. Bohužel i přesto, že má Česká republika jeden z nejlépe propracovaných systémů kardiovaskulární péče na světě, je stále hodně pacientů, kteří zdravotnická zařízení kontaktují pozdě. Cílem bakalářské práce je dotazníkovým šetřením v praktické části, zjistit důvody vedoucí k časové prodlevě od vzniku potíží do přivolání odborné pomoci nemocných s diagnózou infarkt myokardu.

Abstract:

Myocardial infarction is serious acute disease that represents direct threat to life. The Czech Republic belongs, due to the vast net of specialized cardio-centres and their nonstop service, among the absolute world top centres concerning the treatment for acute myocar-dial infarction cases. With every case of myocardial infarction it is prior to unblock the coronary artery as soon as possible. It is the only way of preventing the irrevocable damage of the cardiac muscle with permanent effects or a patient´s death. The time from the begin-ning of ailment to unblocking of the coronary artery, called The Golden Hour, is vital for the future fate of the patient. Unfortunately, despite the fact that the Czech Republic has one of the best elaborated systems of cardiovascular care in the world, there are still a high number of patients who contact medical centres late. The aim of the Bachelor Paper is to find the reasons for the time delay from the beginning of ailment to the moment when a patient with the diagnosis of myocardial infarction reaches profesional help. The reasons were identified with the aim of questionnaire survey.
