Integration of classroom physical activities in Health Education’s lessons at lower secondary schools

Abstract:

This diploma thesis summarizes knowledge of physical activity, its impact, and its benefits for all areas of human health. It comprises further information about recommendations for physical activities, their regime, and the consequences of insufficient physical activity, such as muscle imbalances and incorrect body posture. It also includes information about physical activity at school, such as learning in motion and compensatory physical education moments. The diploma thesis describes a correct posture and its principles, breathing techniques, and compensatory exercises for various defects in the musculoskeletal system. The practical part of the diploma thesis focuses on lesson plans for Health Education lessons for the second grade of elementary school. Lesson plans integrate classroom physical activities in the form of learning in motion and compensatory physical education moments. The practical part and its research focus are on the analysis of the results from a questionnaire survey of these lessons in practice filled in by the students who participated in the given classes.

Abstract:

Diplomová práca sumarizuje základné poznatky o pohybe, jeho význame, vplyve a prínose pre všetky oblasti zdravia človeka, ďalej poznatky o odporúčaniach v pohybových aktivitách a ich režime a zároveň dôsledkoch nedostatočnej pohybovej aktivity ako sú svalové dysbalancie a chybné držanie tela, a taktiež pohybu v škole, teda učeniu v pohybe a telovýchovných chvíľkach. Práca sa venuje aj správnemu držaniu tela, technikám dýchania a kompenzačným cvičeniam pri rôznych vadách pohybového aparátu. Praktická časť diplomovej práce je zameraná na návrhy vyučovacích hodín výchovy k zdraviu pre druhý stupeň ZŠ s integráciou pohybových aktivít v rámci učenia v pohybe a telovýchovných chvíľok, a na overenie týchto vyučovacích hodín v praxi so spätnou väzbou od žiakov, ktorí sa daných vyučovacích hodín zúčastnili, prostredníctvom vyplnenia dotazníku.
