Arabs in the Medieval Spain (arabic elements in the medieval spanish literature with special attention to the castilian epic poetry)

Abstract:

This work deal with situation on Iberian Peninsula in the Middle Ages. It focuses on field of literature, in which, the conflict of three different cultures, Muslim, Christian and Jewish, is proved, as in other fields of culture. The intention is to grasp the influence of Arabic literature on Spanish written literature. The Arabic influence is proved in Spanish literature, not only by formal aspect, but also in the way of processing certain subjects and their selection. Poema de Mio Cid is important work in epic literature area, not just because, that it is the first preserved Spanish literature epic work, but also as the heritage, which Arabs let in the Spanish literature.

Abstract:

Práce pojednává o situaci na Pyrenejském poloostrově v období středověku. Zaměřuje se především na oblast literatury, ve které se, stejně jako v ostatních oblastech kultury, projevuje střet tří různých kultur, muslimské, křesťanské a židovské. Jde především o postihnutí vlivu literatury arabské na literaturu psanou v jazyce španělském. Ve španělské literatuře se projevuje vliv arabů nejen po stránce obsahové a formální, ale také ve způsobu zpracování určitých témat a v jejich výběru. V oblasti epické literatury důležitým dílem Poema de Mio Cid, nejen proto, že jde o první dochované epické dílo španělské literatury, ale také jako odkaz, který zanechali arabové španělské literatuře.
