Modified rational diet in Ulcerative colitis

Abstract:

Práce je empirického charakteru a je rozdělená na teoretickou a praktickou část. Teoretická část se zabývá charakteristikou onemocnění, anatomií trávicí trubice, diagnostikou a léčebnými postupy ulcerózní kolitidy vč. stravovacích a poslední kapitola pojednává o možných nedostatcích některých látek jako jsou např. vitamíny a minerální látky u pacientů s touto nemocí. V praktické části práce chceme docílit zlepšení stravovacích návyků, stavu a případné redukce hmotnosti klientky s ulcerózní kolitidou. Tohoto je dosaženo pomocí dvou sezení s klientkou, při kterých je klientka měřena na přístroji InBody a je jí měřen obvod pasu a boků pomocí krejčovského metru. Nadále je klientka poučena o vhodném stravování za pomocí ústního rozhovoru a edukačních materiálů a je jí vytvořen jídelníček na několik týdnů na základě jejích individuálních požadavků a zdravotních problémů. Po osmi týdnech od začátku spolupráce jsou zhodnoceny dosažené výsledky. Klientka se cítí lépe, její krevní výsledky, které si donesla sama na první a výsledné měření se v mnohém zlepšily, klientčiny problémy se stolicí vymizely, došlo k určitému poklesu hmotnosti (obzvláště tukové hmoty) a klientka se stravuje lépe. Celkově lze říct, že výzkum byl relativně úspěšný a v upravené formě dle individuálních potřeb na jiného klienta ho lze zopakovat.

Abstract:

The work is of an empirical character and is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part deals with the characteristics of the disease, the anatomy of the alimentary canal, diagnosis and treatment procedures of ulcerative colitis, incl. of dietary ones, and the last chapter discusses the possible deficiencies of certain substances such as vitamins and minerals in patients with this disease. In the practical part of the work, we want to improve the eating habits, condition, and eventual reduction of the client with ulcerative colitis. This is achieved through two sessions with the client in which the client is measured on the InBody machine, and her waist and hips are measured using a tape measure. The client continues to be instructed about appropriate eating with the help of oral interview and educational materials, and a menu is created for her, for several weeks, based on her individual requirements and health problems. After eight weeks from the beginning of the cooperation, the achieved results are evaluated. The client feels better, her blood results, which she took herself at the first and final measurement, have improved a lot, the client's stool problems have disappeared, there has been some weight loss (especially fat), and the client starts eating better. Overall, it can be said that the research was relatively successful and can be repeated in a modified form according to the individual needs of another client.
