Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na problematiku mentálního postižení a narušené komunikační schopnosti u jedinců s tímto postižením. V úvodu práce definuje mentální postižení jako trvalý stav v důsledku organického poškození mozku nebo neodstranitelné nedostatečnosti mozku, zdůrazňuje jeho častý výskyt a význam v mezinárodním kontextu. V rámci práce jsou diskutovány různé přístupy k definici mentálního postižení, včetně biologického, psychologického, sociálního, pedagogického a právního. Dále je prezentována klasifikace mentálního postižení do čtyř stupňů podle míry postižení, a to na základě hodnoty IQ. Etiologie mentálního postižení je popsána jako nesmírně rozmanitá a zahrnuje genetické, chromozomální, metabolické poruchy a další faktory. Další část práce se věnuje komunikaci a narušené komunikační schopnosti. Práce podotýká obtížnost definování narušené komunikační schopnosti a zdůrazňuje, že je nutné zohlednit různé faktory. V další části je uvedena klasifikace narušené komunikační schopnosti. Poslední část teorie se zaměřuje na alternativní a augmentativní komunikaci (AAK). Praktická část je výsledkem dotazníkového šetření zabývající se důkladnou analýzou používání alternativních a augmentativních komunikačních metod (AAK) ve vzdělávání žáků s mentálním postižením.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis focuses on the issue of intellectual disability and impaired communication abilities in individuals with this condition. In the introduction of the thesis, intellectual disability is defined as a permanent condition resulting from organic brain damage or irreparable brain insufficiency, emphasizing its frequent occurrence and significance in the international context. Various approaches to defining intellectual disability are discussed within the thesis, including biological, psychological, social, pedagogical, and legal perspectives. Furthermore, the classification of intellectual disability into four degrees based on the level of impairment, as determined by IQ value, is presented. The etiology of intellectual disability is described as extremely diverse, encompassing genetic, chromosomal, metabolic disorders, and other factors. Another section of the thesis addresses communication and impaired communication abilities. The thesis acknowledges the difficulty in defining impaired communication abilities and emphasizes the need to consider various factors. A classification of impaired communication abilities is provided in the subsequent section. The final theoretical part focuses on alternative and augmentative communication (AAC). The practical part presents the results of a questionnaire survey focusing on a thorough analysis of the use of alternative and augmentative communication methods (AAC) in the education of students with intellectual disabilities.
