Pesticides as a limiting factor in butterfly occurrence -review

Abstract:

Tato práce jako literární rešerše zpracovává téma působení pesticidů, a hlavně skupiny insekticidů na motýli a jiné bezobratlé a vliv pesticidů na biotu. Pesticidy jsou v zemědělství stále hojně používány, i když v dnešní době jsou již známy mnohé negativní účinky. Díky preciznímu zemědělství, které využívá přesného zpracování půdy i použití přípravků na ochranu rostlin díky moderním technologiím, se situace i v České republice zlepšuje. Pořízení těchto technologií je však nákladné a mnoho zemědělců si je stále nemůže dovolit. Také roste počet ekologicky hospodařících farem. Motýli působí jako ukazatelé biologické rozmanitosti krajiny. Jsou velice citliví na používání pesticidů stejně jako ostatní hmyz. Motýlích druhů výrazně ubývá. Za jejich úhyn nemohou jen pesticidy ale také časté kosení luk i změna klimatu. Mírné zimy posledních let a také stále častější sucho komplikují motýlům jejich vývoj. Také ubývá včel a čmeláků, kteří jsou důležitými opylovači. Proto jsou nutná opatření k zachování biodiverzity. K podpoře rozmanité krajiny a přežití motýlů můžeme přispět zmenšováním jednolitých polních ploch, správným využitím agrotechniky, rozmanitostí vysévaných plodin, použití biopásů, co nejmenšího používání pesticidů, využitím biologických predátorů.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis as a literature review process the topic of pesticide action, most im-portantly groups of insecticides on butterflies and other invertebrates and the effect of pesticides on biota. Pesticides are still widely used in agriculture, although many negati-ve effects are known nowadays. Thanks to precision farming, which uses precise soil processing as well as the use of plant protection thanks to modern technologies, the situ-ation in the Czech republic is improving too. However, acquiring these technologies is costly and many farmers still cannot aford them. There is also growing number of orga-nic farms. Butterflies act as indicators of landscape biodiversity. They are highly sensiti-ve to the use of pesticides just like other insects. Butterflies species are declining signifi-cantly. It is not only pestcides that are responsible for their deaths, but also the frequent mowing of meadows and climate change. The mild winters of recent years, as well as the increasingly frequent drought, have made it difficult for butterflies to develop. The-re are also fewer bees and bumlebees, which are important pollinators. Therefore mea-sures are needed to conserve biodiversity. We can contribute to the promotion of a di-verse landscape and the survival of butterflies by reducing single field areas, using agro-technice correctly, the diversity of sown crops, the use of bio-strips, use of pesticides as little as possible, the use of biological predators.
