Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá výukou výslovnosti na úrovni seuprasegmentálních jevů se zřetelem na intonaci hlasu. Práce si klade za cíl představit aktivity vhodné pro výuku intonace v hodinách anglického jazyka a zjistit, zda je možné zlepšit používání intonace u žáků 2. stupně základních škol. Bakalářská práce je rozdělena na dvě části, a to teoretickou a praktickou. Teoretická část se skládá ze tří hlavních kapitol popisujících důležitost výuky výslovnosti z pohledu srozumitelnosti jazyka, suprasegmentální rysy výslovnosti a výuku intonace v hodinách anglického jazyka. V praktické části jsou popsány výsledky dotazníkového předvýzkumu, jenž byl zaměřen na zjištění, na kolik se učitelé věnují výuce výslovnosti a intonace v hodinách anglického jazyka. Dále jsou předloženy výsledky pedagogického výzkumu, který spočíval ve srovnání dvou nahrávek krátkého dialogu, které demonstrují na kolik je možné zlepšení intonace po jejím procvičení v různých typech vět.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis focuses on teaching pronunciation at the level of suprasegmental features with a focus on intonation in speech. The thesis aims to present activities suitable for teaching intonation in English language classes and to determine whether it is possible to improve the use of intonation in students at the secondary level of primary schools. The thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part consists of three main chapters describing the importance of pronunciation teaching in terms of comfortable intelligibility, suprasegmental features of pronunciation, and teaching intonation in English language classes. In the practical part, the questionnaire survey results are described, which aimed to determine how much teachers focus on teaching pronunciation and intonation in English language classes. Furthermore, the results of pedagogical research are presented, which involved comparing two recordings of a short dialogue to demonstrate the extent to which intonation can be improved through practice in different types of sentences.
