Influence of the month of birth on selected parameters of meat yield of cows of the Czech spotted cattle breed

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá vlivem měsíce narození na vybrané parametry masné užitkovosti krav českého strakatého plemene skotu. Pro tento účel bylo hodnoceno 260 kusů krav tohoto plemene ve vybraném podniku GenAgro Říčany, a.s.. V rámci masné užitkovosti byly sledovány tyto parametry: hmotnost jatečně upraveného těla a netto přírůstek, dále pak zmasilost a protučnění. Zjistila jsem, že nejvyšší zmasilost měly krávy narozené v měsíci srpen. Nejnižší hodnotu zmasilosti měly krávy narozené ve měsíci červenu. U protučnělosti dosahovaly nejvyšších hodnot dojnice narozené v březnu, tato hodnota byla 3,32, nejmenších hodnot krávy narozené ve měsíci červen, to bylo 2,87. Z výzkumu vyplývá, že nejvyšší hmotnost jatečně upraveného těla byla u krav narozených v měsíci srpen, hmotnost za studena byla 370,30 kilogramu, nejmenších hodnot dosáhli krávy narozené v červnu a to bylo 331,71 kilogramu za studena. Nejvyšších netto přírůstků dosahovaly dojnice narozené v měsíci září. Průměrný netto přírůstek u krav narozených v záři činí 269,13 gramů za den. Nejnižších hodnot netto přírůstku mely dojnice narozené ve měsíci listopad, a to bylo 184,55 gramů za den. Vliv měsíce narození na masnou užitkovost krav byl průkazný.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the influence of the month of birth on selected parameters of meat yield of cows of the Czech spotted cattle breed. For this purpose, 260 cows of this breed were evaluated in the selected company GenAgro Říčany a. s. Within the meat performance, the following parameters were monitored: carcass weight and net gain, as well as meatiness and fattening. I found that the cows born in August had the highest meatiness. Cows born in June had the lowest value of meatiness. In terms of fatness, the highest values of dairy cows born in March reached the highest value, this value was 3.32, the lowest values of cows born in June, it was 2.87. The research shows that the highest carcass weight was in cows born in August, the cold weight was 370.30 kilograms, the lowest values were reached by cows born in June and it was 331.71 kilograms cold. The highest net increases were in dairy cows born in September. The average net gain in glow-born cows is 269.13 grams per day. The lowest values of net increase were in dairy cows born in November, and it was 184.55 grams per day. The effect of the month of birth on the meat yield of cows was conclusive.
