The strategy of the environmental movements in "Kaczynski's" Poland

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis focuses on the strategies of the contemporary Polish environmental movement and on socio-political situation, in which the movement finds itself. The thesis consists of theoretical and empirical part. First chapter presents strategies of the environmental movements in countries with populist, nationalist right-wing gover-nments. Later the thesis presents the most significant environmental problems in contemporary Poland. Third chapter presents current knowledge about key actors in the movement, their strategies and rela-tions between them. Aim of the empirical part is to use IPA to examine the attitude of six actors of the movement and add to the current knowledge.

Abstract:

Bakalárska práca sa zameriava na stratégie súčasného poľského envi-ronmentálneho hnutia a na spoločensko-politickú situáciu, v ktorej sa hnutie nachádza. Práca pozostáva z teoretickej a empirickej časti. V prvej kapitole pojednáva o stratégiách environmentálnych hnutí v krajinách s populistickou, nacionálne pravicovou vládou. Následne sa venuje najvýznamnejším environmentálnym problémom v súčasnom Poľsku. Tretia kapitola sumarizuje súčasné poznatky o kľúčových akté-roch hnutia, ich stratégiách a vzťahoch medzi nimi. Cieľom empirickej časti je pomocou IPA preskúmať postoje šiestich aktérov hnutia a do-plniť tak súčasné poznanie.
