Corporate culture

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou firemní kultury. Jejím hlavním cílem je zhodnotit firemní kulturu ve vybrané společnosti Brown-Forman Czechia, s.r.o. a navrhnout možná řešení případných problémů. Dílčím cílem diplomové práce je na základě teoretické přípravy zvolit a zformulovat otázky na tuto problematiku, zjistit názory zaměstnanců na danou firemní kulturu a identifikovat typ firemní kultury vybrané společnosti dle známých typologií. Teoretická část práce obsahuje na základě zpracování literární rešerše podrobné vysvětlení pojmů týkajících se dané problematiky, jako je firemní identita a image, význam firemní kultury, prvky firemní kultury, determinanty firemní kultury a typologie firemní kultury dle známých autorů. V praktické části je představena vybraná společnost a je stanoveno celkem osm výzkumných předpokladů. Dále je proveden kvalitativní a kvantitativní výzkum pomocí pozorování, dotazníkového šetření a hloubkových rozhovorů. Díky těmto metodám je vyhodnocen současný stav firemní kultury spolu s přiřazením do jednotlivých typů firemní kultury. V závěru práce jsou předloženy návrhy na eventuální řešení, jak zlepšit aktuální situaci firemní kultury.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of the corporate culture. The main objective of the diploma thesis is to evaluate the corporate culture in the selected company Brown-Forman Czechia, s.r.o. and to propose possible solutions. The partial aim of the diploma thesis is to choose and formulate questions on the given issue based on the theoretical preparation, to find out the opinions of employees, and to identify the type of corporate culture according to known typologies. The theoretical part of the thesis contains, on the basis of literary research, a detailed explanation of terms related to the given issue such as corporate identity and image, the meaning of the corporate culture, elements of corporate culture, and the typology of corporate culture according to well-known authors. In the practical part, the selected company is introduced and a total of eight research assumptions are determined. Furthermore, qualitative and quantitative research is carried out using observations, questionnaire surveys, and in-depth interviews. Thanks to these methods, the current state of corporate culture is evaluated along with the assignment to individual types of corporate culture. At the end of the thesis, proposals for possible solutions are presented to improve the current situation of the corporate culture.
