Peer consultant in mental health care

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá pojetím peer konzultanta v systému péče o duševní zdraví. Práce se snaží vymezit role peer konzultanta směrem ke klientovi a také popisuje jeho místo v pracovním týmu, kde pomocí vlastního příběhu o cestě zotavením se z duševního onemocnění, který je pro peer konzultanta základní oporou, pracuje s klienty. V souvislosti s tématem duševního zdraví a ve světle plánované reformy psychiatrické péče popisuji zřízení Center duševního zdraví ve spojitosti s metodou práce formou case managementu, která dává prostor vzniku multidisciplinárních týmů. V aplikační části pak probíhá komparace praxe dvou peer konzultantů z Brna a z Prahy. Byly sestaveny základní opěrné body, které byly v průběhu komparace sledovány a následně interpretovány v tabulce.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the concept of peer consultant in the system of mental health care. Work tries to define the role of peer consultant to the client and also describes its place in the work team, where using his own story on the road to recovery from mental illness, which is essential for peer support consultant, working with clients. In connection with the theme of mental health in light of the planned reform of psychiatric care describes the establishment of a Mental health center in conjunction with the method work through case management, which gives space to form multidisciplinary teams. The application part is then carried out a comparison of the two practice peer consultants from Brno and Prague. They were compiled basic footholds that were monitored during the comparison and then interpreted in the table.
