The Energy Security of the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Práce se věnuje energetické bezpečnosti České republiky. Tu hodnotí jak z hlediska současného stavu, tak i v rámci budoucího vývoje s ohledem na změny, které přinese tzv. Zelená dohoda pro Evropu a současné pro-ekologické politické směřování unijních států. Práce rozebírá stav české energetiky. Popisuje a analyzuje dostupné zdroje elektrické energie, jejich význam, dostupnost, udržitelnost a možnost a vhodnost budoucího využití. Zároveň diskutuje závislost české energetiky na různých nerostných surovinách, a nakolik toto ovlivňuje energetickou bezpečnost ČR. Významná část práce je věnována strategickému smýšlení a směřování ČR v oblasti energetiky a vlivu, který na českou energetiku bude mít tzv. Zelená dohoda pro Evropu a celoevropský příklon k více pro-ekologickému přístupu k energetice a využívání zdrojů energie.

Abstract:

The thesis focuses on the energy security of the Czech Republic which analyses and evaluates in terms of both the current situation and the possible future development in the light of the changes brought by the Green Deal for Europe and the current pro-ecological political thinking of the EU member states. The thesis discusses the condition of the Czech energy sector. It describes and analyses the available sources of electrical energy, their importance, availability, sustainability, and the possibility and suitability of their future use. On the same note, it discusses the dependency of the Czech energy sector on various natural resources and their impact on the energy security of the Czech Republic. A significant part of the thesis focuses on the energy sector strategy of the Czech Republic and how it is going to be influenced by the Green Deal for Europe and the Europe-wide pro-ecological approach towards energy and the exploitation and use of energy resources.
