Slovene Prologue of the Breakup of Yugoslavia in the Czech Contemporary Press
Abstract:
Práce se zabývá událostmi, které souvisely se Slovinskem a jeho cestou k osamostatnění na začátku 90. let 20. století. Sleduje zejména období od začátku roku 1990 do ledna 1992, kdy byly Slovinsko a Chorvatsko uznány Evropským společenstvím jako nezávislé státy. Práce mapuje a analyzuje články, které k situaci v Jugoslávii v daném období vyšly ve vybraných periodicích.
Abstract:
The thesis focuses on the events related to Slovenia's path towards independence during the early 1990s. It mainly follows the period between the start of the year 1990 till January 1992, when Slovenia and Croatia were recognized by the European Community as independent states. The thesis maps and analyzes news articles on the issue of Yugoslavia in selected newspapers at that time.
