Formation of Company Information Strategy

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zaobírá tématikou tvorby informační strategie firmy formou konfrontace teoretického postupu s postupem reálné firmy a s ukázkami výstupů jednotlivých dílčích kroků tvorby informační strategie. Práce je rozdělena do dvou hlavních celků, kde se první z celků věnuje popisu, tvorbě a významu globální strategie firmy, jejíž dílčí strategií je i informační strategie. Tvorba informační strategie je následně popsána v druhém celku, který je rozdělen do dvou hlavních kapitol. První kapitolou je Formulace vize a cílů informační strategie vysvětlující postup pro definici vize a cílů informační strategie ať již přejatých z globální strategie, nebo jako výstup analýzy SWOT. Druhá kapitola se specializuje na kroky vedoucí k transformaci stávajícího stavu informačních systémů ke stavu definovaného ve vizi a cílech informační strategie. Každý teoretický krok je konfrontován s postupem vzorové společnosti a velmi často také ukázkou výstupu daného kroku ve vzorové společnosti. Závěr práce shrnuje autorem nabyté poznatky a subjektivní názor na teoretický postup tvorby informační strategie ve skutečné společnosti.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with issues of creating an information strategy of the company through the confrontation of the theoretical procedure with the procedures and examples of real company with outputs of individual steps from the creation of information strategy. The work is divided into two main blocks, where the first block is devoted to the description, and the importance of creation of global strategy of the company, whose part information strategy is. Creation of an information strategy is then described in the second block, which is divided into two main chapters. The first chapter is the formulation of the vision and objectives of the information strategy explaining the process for defining of the vision and objectives of the information strategy either inherited from the global strategy, or as an outcome of the SWOT analysis. The second chapter focuses on the steps of transformation from the current state of information systems to the state defined in the vision and objectives of an information strategy. Each step of the theoretical approach is confronted with an approach of the real company, very often with an example of the output of the individual step. In the conclusion author summarizes the acquired knowledge and subjective opinion on the theoretical approach for creation of information strategy in a real company.
