Physiology and Pathology of Eye Movements

Abstract:

Ve fyziologické části mé práce se zabývám vestibulárním reflexním obloukem, jednotlivými úseky CNS a okohybnými svaly. Dále analizují spojení mezi vestibulárním ústrojím a očními svaly, které zajišťuje tříneuronový reflexní oblouk. Druhá, klinická a patologická část, zahrnuje problematiku pares okohybných nervů, svalů a komplex okulomotorických dysfunkcí. V závěrečné části práce se zabývám otázkou nystagmu, funkcí víček a poruchou jejich činnosti při neurogenním postižení.

Abstract:

In the physiological part of my work I deal with vestibular reflex arc, particular parts of central nervous system and extraocular muscles. Further, I analyse a connection between vestibular system and eye muscles, that is provided by the three neuron vestibulo-ocular reflex arc. The second, clinical and pathological part involves an area of paresis of cranial nerves, extraocular muscles and a complex of oculomotoric disfunctions. In the final part I deal with the question of nystagmus, function of eye lids and defect of their activity at neurogenic disorders.
