A Bespoke Typeface
Abstract:
Práce se zaměřuje na tvorbu autorského fontu; s důrazem na využití současně dostupných digitálních technologií. Motivací je nahlédnout, pochopit a následně si osvojit pracovní postupy a metodiku typografického návrhu; ambicí stylisticky a koncepčně navázat na bohatou historii bezpatkového písma, tzv. grotesku.
Abstract:
The design of a typeface is at the core of this master's thesis while utilizing digital technology currently available at hand. The impetus was to grasp and subsequently em-brace the design methodology involved in the process of creating a font; with the ambition to establish a typeface fully aware of its precursors and the legacy pertaining to the sans-serif genre.
