Svým obsahem je rozdělena do dvou hlavních částí. První(teoretická) část, poskytuje teoretický vstup do problematiky edukace u seniorské populace (seznamuje s obecnými termíny, zásadami, edukačním procesem, specifiky edukace v ošetřovatelství a při léčbě Warfarinem) i léčby pomocí pomocí perorálních antikoagulanciích se zaměřením na kumarinový derivát Warfarin. Nejdůležitější část práce, druhá (empirická) část analyzuje poznatky zaměřené na získané vědomosti a informovanost seniorské populace(vymezené věkem dle WHO tedy nad 60 let)v dispenzární ambulantní péči (ambulancích II. interní kliniky kardiologie a angiologie Všeobecné fakultní nemocnice v Praze a to v ambulanci cévní, kardiologické a plicní hypertenze a dále v Kardiologické ambulanci v Řevnicích, v Interní ambulanci Oblastní nemocnice Příbram, v ambulanci praktické lékařky MUDr. Grohové v Praze) o léčbě Warfarinem. Data byla získána kvantitativním průzkumným šetřením prostřednictvím nestandardizované (originální)dotazníkové metody v období od října 2012 do ledna 2013.

Its content is divided into two main parts. The first (theoretical) part provides the theoretical insight into education of the senior population. Its introduces to general terminology, to the principles of the educational process, to the specifics of education for in nursing and therapy with Warfarin and other oral anticoagulants. The most important part of the work, the second (empirical) part, analyzes and focuses on knowledge gain and awareness of the senior population (according to WHO definition aged over 60 years) in the outpatient clinic. The survey was performed in following departments: outpatient clinic of the 2nd Department of Internal Medicine Cardiology and Angiology, General Faculty Hospital in Prague (namely out patient dept. of vascular, cardiac and pulmonary hypertension), Cardiology clinik in Revnice, Internal ambulance of the district Hospital of Příbram, general practitoiner in retiring home for elderly in Prague Dablice and general practice of dr. Grofová in Prague. data were obtained by quantitative exploratory investigation method usingan original non-standardized questionnaire from October 2012 to January 2013.
