Jewellery as an Identity and Intimacy of the Country

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with jewellery as an object through which national iden-tity can be expressed. Jewellery is also considered as a phenomenon that con-tains meaning and communicative value not only about its country, but also about the small nuances that testify about the problem it solves. At the same time, the thesis points out the typical features of Swedish and Czech jewellery, through which these two phenomena are examined and compared. In order to gain a deeper understanding of the topic and to build a basic knowledge, it also briefly presents the development of art jewellery in both countries together with the cir-cumstances that influenced it.

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce pojednává o šperku jako předmětu, skrze nějž lze vyjádřit národní identitu. Šperk je zde také posuzován jako fenomén obsahující výpovědní a komunikační hodnotu nejen o své zemi, ale také o drobných nuancích vypovída-jících o problému, který řeší. Zároveň práce poukazuje na jednotlivé typické zna-ky švédského a českého autorského šperku, skrze něž tyto dva fenomény zkou-má a porovnává. Pro hlubší pochopení tématu a vybudování základních znalostí také v krátkosti přibližuje vývoj uměleckého šperku obou zemí společně s okolnostmi, které jej ovlivnily.
