The use of non-destructive methods to identify archaeological objects in Abusir

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou využití geoinformačních technologií v archeologickém výzkumu v Egyptě. Specifické prostředí si vyžaduje i specifické přístupy v oblasti detekce a dokumentace egyptských archeologických památek. Velkým přínosem je využití nedestruktivních metod při vyhledávání archeologických objektů, patří mezi ně geofyzikální průzkum (GP), metody dálkového průzkumu Země (DPZ), detailní terénní průzkum a v neposlední řadě i využití geografického informačního systému (GIS) v jehož prostředí se geodata z různých metod integrují, analyzují a zobrazují. Komplexní syntézou dat z různých zdrojů vznikl projekt v prostředí GIS, který umožňuje prostorové analýzy a zkoumání identifikovaných archeologických objektů. Moderní metody přináší egyptologům nové pohledy na zkoumanou lokalitu, data poskytují pohled na prostorovou strukturu objektů, včetně dokumentace podzemních prostor - šachet a pohřebních komor. Potvrzuje se, jak je klíčová multidisciplinární spolupráce archeologů s ostatními vědními obory, geoinformatiku nevyjímaje.

Abstract:

The bachelor's thesis deals with the use of geoinformation technologies in archaeological research in Egypt. The specific environment also requires special approaches to detection and documentation of Egyptian archaeological sites. The great benefit is th e use of non-destructive methods in searching for archaeological objects, including geophysical survey, remote sensing methods, detailed field research and, last but not least, the use of other geographic information systems (GIS), in which geodata of various methods integrate, analyze and display. A complex synthesis of data from various sources created a project in GIS environment, which allows spatial analysis and investigation of identified archaeological objects. Modern methods bring Egyptologists new views of the studied locality, the data provide a view of the spatial structure of objects, inclu-ding documentation of underground spaces and burial chambers. It confirms the crucial multidisciplinary cooperation of archaeologists with other disciplines, including geoinformatics.
