The Study of Fingerprint Aging Using Luminescence Spectroscopy

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zaobírá vizualizací a uchování latentních stop v podobě otisků prstů, a především je zaměřena na následný výzkum jejich stárnutí. V teoretické části práce jsou uvedeny informace ohledně historie daktyloskopie a jejího využití v kriminalistice. Následně jsou zde uvedeny informace o luminiscenci a jejich konkrétních základních druzích a spektrech. V rámci toho jsou zde uvedeny základní informace k oboru spektroskopie. Praktická část práce je soustředěna na odhad stáří otisku na materiálech, jako je sklo, železo, hliník, měď, korozivzdorná ocel, dřevo a plast. Práce se zaobírá potvrzením či vyvrácením měřitelnosti stáří zanechaných otisků na již zmíněných materiálech. Na základě zjištění byla pak navržena možná další řešení.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the visualization and preservation of latent footprints in the form of fingerprints and is mainly focused on the subsequent research of their aging. The theoretical part of the thesis contains information about the history of dactyloscopy and its use in criminology. Subsequently, there is information about luminescence and their specific basic species and spectra. Within this, basic information on the field of spectroscopy is given here. The practical part of the work is focused on estimating the age of the imprint on materials such as glass, iron, aluminum, copper, stainless steel, wood and plastic. The work deals with the confirmation or refutation of the measurability of the age of the imprints left on the already mentioned materials. Based on the findings, possible further solutions were proposed.
