Assessing the impact of competition on tariffs and fees on Czech Aeroholding

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na vliv konkurence na tarify a ceny dvou nejvýznamnějších společností, které jsou součástí Českého aeroholdingu, Letiště Praha a.s. a České aerolinie a.s. První část popisuje charakteristiku Českého aeroholdingu, strukturu jednotlivých společností a letiště Václava Havla v Praze. Druhá část je zaměřena na analýzu leteckých poplatků a tarifů, třetí část se věnuje vlivům konkurence, a s tím souvisejícím změnám výše tarifů a poplatků, a také dopadům na výkony obou společností. Poslední část navrhuje sedm možných změn v přístupu k cestujícím, poplatkům i tarifům a jejich význam ve prospěch mateřské společnosti.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the influence of competition on rates and prices of two leading companies which are a part of Czech Aeroholding, Letiště Praha and Czech Airlines. The first section describes the characteristics of Czech Aeroholding, the structure of respective companies and Vaclav Havel Airport in Prague. The second section focuses on the analysis of airport taxes and tariffs, the third section deals with the influence of competition and related changes in tariffs and taxes and the impact on both companies. The last section suggests seven possible changes in approach to passengers, taxes and tariffs, and their significance to the benefit of the mother company.
