Abstract:

Ve své práci nazvané Postavení mnišek v současných théravádových tradicích se zabývám postavením mnišek na Šrí Lance a jejich pokusům o dosažení plné ordinace a také možností obnovení bhikšuní sanghy. V první části se zabývám ranou bhikšuní sanghou a její historií až po přerušení linie na přelomu desátého století. V další části pokračuji současnou situací, tedy možností či nemožností obnovení plné ordinace pro mnišky a následně i bhikšuní sanghy. Poslední kapitolu věnuji situaci v ostatních théravádových zemích, tedy Barmě, Laosu, Thajsku a Kambodže.

Abstract:

In my thesis titeled "The position of nuns in contemporary Theravada traditions" I deal with the position of nuns in Sri Lanka and their attempts to achieve full ordination and recovery options bhikkhuni sangha. The first part deals blow bhikkhuní sangha and its history after discontinuation of the line at the end of the tenth century. In the next section continues the current situation, therefore, the possibility or impossibility of restoring full ordination for nuns and subsequently bhikkhuni sangha. The last chapter is devoted to the situation in other Theravada countries, namely Myanmar, Laos, Thailand and Cambodia.
