Who Killed Palomino Molero? by Mario Vargas Llosa: a detective novel?
Abstract:
In 1986, a Peruvian writer Mario Vargas Llosa published a novel whose title Who Killed Palomino Molero? suggests that this could be a detective novel. The aim of this thesis is to explore the elements of the detective novel in this novel and see if it is a detective novel with typical features of this genre, or if the author only used the genre to tell us something else.
Abstract:
V roce 1986 peruánský spisovatel Mario Vargas Llosa vydal román, jehož název Kdo zabil Palomina Molera? naznačuje, že by se mohlo jednat o detektivní román. Cílem této diplomové práce je prozkoumat prvky detektivky v tomto románu a zjistit, jestli se opravdu jedná o detektivní román s rysy vlastními tomuto žánru, nebo jestli si autor pouze posloužil tímto žánrem, aby nám sdělil něco jiného.
