Time management in manager practice

Abstract:

Hlavním cílem této práce bylo zjistit, zda manažeři znají metody time managmentu a zda je používají v praxi. Dalším cílem bylo zjistit, jak manažeři pracují s časem na jednotlivých úrovních managementu. Bakalářská práce je členěna na dvě základní části, kterými jsou teoretická a aplikační část. V teoretické části byl popsán manažer, jeho předpoklady, typologie a role. Dále byl popsán pojem time managment, plánování času, klasické a moderní metody time managmentu a prokrastinace. V metodologické části byl popsán výzkumný problém a metodika práce. Aplikační část se věnovala analýze výsledků dotazníkového šetření. V kapitole Diskuse výsledků byly následně zodpovězeny výzkumné otázky. Díky kontrolním otázkám bylo zjištěno, že většina manažerů, kteří metody neznají podle názvu, jejich závěry ovšem aplikují v praxi. Druhý cíl práce zjišťoval, jak manažeři pracují s časem na jednotlivých úrovní řízení společnosti. Výzkumem bylo zjištěno, že nejlépe umí pracovat s časem top manažeři.

Abstract:

Main goal of this work was to find out if managers knows methods of time management and whether they use them in praxis. Another goal was to find out how managers work with time at different levels of management. The bachelor thesis is divided into two basic parts, which are the theoretical and application part. In theoretical part was described manager, his assumptions, typology and role. Furthermore, the concept of time management, time planning, classical and modern methods of time management and procrastination were described. In last part was described research problem and methodology of the work. Research questions were subsequently answered in the chapter Discussion of results. From the conclusions it can be argued that managers know the methods of time management and use them in large numbers in practice. Due to control questions, it was found that most managers who do not know the methods by name, apply their conclusions in practice. The second goal of the work was to find out how managers work with time at different levels of company management.
