The reconfiguration of the market positions, state and civil sector in the globalization

Abstract:

Cílem této diplomové práce je na základě teoretických východisek a analýzy současných globalizačních trendů definovat alternativu k neoliberálnímu přístupu polycentrické distribuce moci. Tato alternativa spočívá ve snaze o změnu konfigurace pozic trhu, státu a občanského sektoru hledáním nové rovnováhy mezi těmito třemi sektory, o simultánní uplatnění trhu, státu a občanského sektoru a synergický efekt této rekonfigurace. Vychází z hypotézy, že negativním dopadům globalizace lze zabránit právě rekonfigurací těchto tří sektorů na globální úrovni a to přesunem od dominance tržního prvku směrem ke zbývajícím dvěma. S ohledem na stanovený cíl nejprve jasně vytyčuje, co rozumíme pojmem globalizace, jaké jsou její projevy a jaké jsou postoje některých významných autorů k tomuto procesu. Dále hodnotí vliv globalizace na trh, stát a občanskou společnost, vliv strukturálních procesů globalizace (glokalizace, síťování, hybridizace) na posilování či oslabování těchto tří sektorů a vývoj vztahů dominantních aktérů těchto sektorů. V rámci aplikační části budou tyto strukturální procesy zkoumány ve světle globalizačních indexů (zejména KOF indexu globalizace ve všech třech komplementech – ekonomické, sociální a politické globalizace) a analyzovány jak z kvalitativního tak z kvantitativního hlediska.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis is engaged in definition of the alternative to the neoliberal theory of polycentrical distribution of power. The theoretical starting point for our thesis is based on the analysis of globalization trends. This alternative consists in change of the configuration of market, state and civic sector by finding of a new balance between these three, by simultaneous setting up of market, state and civic sector and a synergical effect of this reconfiguration. It comes up from the hypothesis, that it is possible to prevent the negative effects of the globalization by the reconfiguration of these three sectors via shift of the balance from the market sector to the two others. Because of the goal of this thesis we firstly outline what globalization is, what its approves are and what the main theories of various authors are. Secondly we appreciate the influence of globalization on market, state and civic society, the influence of structural processes of globalization (glocalization, global issues network, hybridization) on strengthening or weakening of these three sectors. In the application part of the thesis we will examine into these structural processes by the globalization indexes (especially the KOF index of globalization) and analyse from the qualititative as well as quantitative point of view.
