Abstract:

Tato práce sleduje vývoj pohostinství v obci Babice a jejím okolí v letech 1850-1950. Mapuje jednotlivé hostince ve vybraných obcích, jejich počet, majitele a jejich změny. Všímá si vybavenosti těchto zařízení a funkcí, které v jednotlivých obdobích plnily. Stranou zájmu nezůstala ani osobnost hostinského a konkurenční boje. Připomenuty jsou rovněž neblahé důsledky procesu znárodnění pro osudy jednotlivých hostinců v obci i jejich provozovatelů, ale i pro samotnou hostinskou živnost.

Abstract:

This thesis describes the history of public houses in village Babice and vicinage in years 1850-1950. The thesis depicts particular public houses in selected villages, their number, in-keepers, and their changing. It also describes the facilities of these public houses and the functions related to the facilities. We will also mention a personality of an in-keeper and competitors? fights. There are also mentioned sinister consequences of the nationalisation of particular public houses, for the village and for in-keepers, and for in-keeper?s trade as well.
