Accounting fraud in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá aktuálním tématem účetních podvodů. Konkrétněji účetními podvody spáchanými v prostředí České republiky. V práci je nejdříve vymezen podvod. Dále je od podvodu rozlišeno kreativní účetnictví a účetní chyba. Zmíněny jsou také jednotlivé příčiny a druhy účetních podvodů. Popsány jsou i dopady podvodů a možné způsoby jejich prevence. Na závěr jsou zmíněny případy, kdy byla naplněna skutková podstata trestného činu zkreslování údajů o stavu hospodaření a jmění. Případy podvodů byly získány pomocí databáze judikatury Nejvyššího soudu České republiky. Cílem práce je poukázat na problematiku podvodů v účetnictví a přiblížit konkrétní případy z praxe.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the current topic of accounting fraud. Specifically, accounting fraud committed in the Czech Republic. Firstly, fraud is defined in the work. Furthermore, creative accounting and accounting error are distinguished from fraud. Mentioned are also different causes and types of accounting fraud. The impacts of fraud and possible ways of their prevention are also described. In conclusion, there are mentioned cases where the facts of the crime of misrepresentation of data on the state of management and wealth were met. Fraud cases were obtained through a database of the case law of the Supreme Court of the Czech Republic. The aim of the thesis is to point out the issue of accounting fraud and to describe practical cases.
