Americký spisovatel Edgar Allan Poe je jedním z nejčastěji ilustrovaných autorů světové literatury. Zvláště oblíbené jsou v tomto kontextu jeho hororové povídky. Mezi nejznámější ilustrátory patří Odilon Redon, Harry Clarke, Alfred Kubin, v českém prostředí, jemuž bude věnována hlavní pozornost, pak František Muzika, Josef Liesler, Alén Diviš či Adolf Born. American writer Edgar Allan Poe is one of the most frequently illustrated authors of world literature. His short horror stories are most popular in this context. Odilon Redon, Harry Clarke, Alfred Kubin are the most known illustrators. In Czech surroundings we can mention František Muzika, Josef Liesler, Alén Diviš or Adolf Born.
