Digital music on the Czech Market

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce Digitální hudba na českém trhu se primárně zabývá analýzou českého trhu s digitální hudbou. Cílem této práce je poskytnout komplexní přehled hlavně současné situace českého trhu, z hlediska právní, technologické a distribuční problematiky v návaznosti na historický vývoj i ve srovnání s americkým trhem. Součástí je teoretický úvod do dané problematiky a bližší rozebrání jednotlivých technologií a zdrojů, včetně volných či nelegálních. V další, analytické části práce, jsou detailně představeny a porovnány konkrétní portály s digitální hudbou, a to zejména z hlediska nabídky, uživatelské přívětivosti a cen. Část práce je věnována i stručnému porovnání nákladů na distribuci a prodej digitální a fyzické nahrávky. Na závěr se práce věnuje licencím, současným trendům v oblasti distribuce digitální hudby a zejména pak vlastnímu doporučení pro subjekty na českém trhu spolu s predikcí budoucího vývoje, založených mimo jiné na vlastní analýze a empirickém sběru dat a rozhovorů s konkrétními subjekty na trhu, s popisem výhod a nevýhod digitální distribuce a její role v distribučním modelu, s ohledem na možný budoucí vývoj trhu.

Abstract:

Bachelor's thesis Digital music on Czech Market is primarily concerned with analytics of Czech digital market with digital music. The thesis main target is to present complex view of Czech digital market in relation to historic, legal, distribution and technological aspects in in comparison with American and global market. Part of the thesis is also theoretical introduction to given issue, closer view into technological aspects and summary of main distribution commercial sources along with free and illegal ones. In next, analytic part of the thesis the main specific sources are presented and compared in terms of price, user interface and offering. Part of the thesis is also devoted to brief comparison of examples of digital and physical distribution. At the end of the thesis, licences, actual trends and suggestions are presented based on personal analysis, empirical data and interviews with subjects on the market alongside with summary of advantages and disadvantages of digital distribution, its role in distributional model and prediction of possible future development of the market.
