New French Extremity characteristics in Fabrice du Welz's films
Abstract:
The bachelor’s diploma thesis discusses films of belgian director Fabrice du Welz in terms of their affiliation to New French Extremity movement. The thesis analyses three films, Ordeal, Alleluia and Adoration, and explores the main characteristics and motifs of the New French Extremity movement. Abstract:
Téma bakalárskej diplomovej práce sa venuje filmovej tvorbe belgického režiséra Fabricea du Welza na pozadí trendu New French Extremity. Práca skúma tri snímky, Krížová cesta, Aleluja a Adoration, v ktorých vyhľadáva znaky a motívy trendu New French Extremity. Cieľom práce je zistiť, či du Welzová filmová tvorba využíva tendencie extrémnej kinematografie a či obohacuje samotný filmový trend.
