Cieľom teoretickej časti práce bolo poskytnúť súhrn literatúry, ktorá sa zaoberá kooperačným princípom, klamstvom či bullshittingom a taktiež popísať najvýznamnejšie teórie, ktoré sa zaoberajú funkciami "hedžov" či zosilňujúcich výrazov.
