Interconnection of conductive textile elements by resistance welding

Abstract:

Předkládaná diplomová práce se zabývá popisem aktuálních metod propojování vodivých textilních prvků a speciálně se zabývá propojováním pomocí odporového svařování. Pro porovnání byly vybrány čtyři představitelé odporového svařování, kterými jsou Paralelní svařování, Protilehlé svařování a dvě termokompresní metody TCB a Hotbar nazývané také jako teplem vyhřívaná elektroda. Tyto čtyři metody odporového svařování byly využity pro realizaci nerozebíratelného elektricky vodivého spojení vzorků pružných vodivých stuh. V práci je detailně popsána konstrukce vodivých stuh, jejich popis, dostupní výrobci a potřebné postupy pro vznik kontaktu. Vytvořené vzorky byly prověřeny řadou testovacích postupů, mezi které patří vlhké konstantní teplo, suché konstantní teplo, chlad, šoková změna teploty, zkouška cyklickým napínáním, prací testy a trhací zkouška. Práce se mimo jiné zabývá výběrem vhodných testovacích metod pro ověření kvality svařených spojů dle platných norem, popisem parametrů a způsobu testovaní. Porovnání jednotlivých svařovacích metod odporového svařování bylo hodnoceno čtyřbodovým měřením elektrického odporu odporově svařených vodivých stuh. Závěr diplomové práce je o kritickém zhodnocení naměřených parametrů jednotlivých kontaktovacích metod vzávislosti na testovací metodě. Paralelní a Protilehlá svařovací metoda vytváří metalurgické spojení mikrodrátků ve stuze. Tento spoj je odolný vůči klimatickému působení, zatímco na mechanické namáhání již není tak stabilní. TCB a Hotbar metody metalurgické spojení nevytváří, ale dochází pouze k mechanickému spojení mikrodrátků, přičemž jednotlivé mikrodrátky jsou ve svých pozicích trvale fixovány pomocí termoplastického polymerního materiálu pocházejícího z roztavené oblasti textilní vodivé stuhy. Svary realizované pomocí termokompresních metod jsou obecně mechanicky odolnější, ale během klimatického testování stabilitu kontaktního odporu mírně ztrácí.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the description of current methods of interconnection conductive textile elements and especially deals with interconnection by means of resistance welding. For comparasion of resistance welding were selected four methods so called Parallel welding, Opposite welding and two thermocompression methods known as TCB and Hotbar. These four resistance welding methods were used to realize a non-detachable electrically conductive connection of samples of flexible conductive ribbons. This work describes in detail the construction of conductive ribbons, their description, available manufacturers and the necessary procedures for contacting. The formed samples were tested by a lots of test procedures, including wet constant heat, dry constant heat, cold, shock temperature change, cyclic tension test, wash tests and pull-off test. The work deals with the selection of suitable test methods for the quality verifying of welded joints according to applicable standards and a description of the parameters and method of testing. The comparison of individual welding methods of resistance welding was evaluated by four- wire measurement of the electrical resistance of resistance-welded conductive ribbons. The conclusion of the diploma thesis deal with the critical evaluation of the measured parameters of individual contacting methods depending on the test method. The parallel and Opposite welding methods create a metallurgical connection of microwires in a ribbon. This connection is climate-resistant, but it is no longer so stable to mechanical stress. TCB and Hotbar methods do not create a metallurgical connection, but only a mechanical connection of microwires. In mechanical contact with each other, the individual microwires being permanently fixed in position by a thermoplastic polymeric material coming from the textile conductive ribbon. The interconnection of ribbons made by thermocompression methods are more mechanically resistant and only slightly lose contact resistance stability during climatic testing.
