Development of opinions on the role of the Internet in the education system in Czech Republic since the 1990s

Abstract:

Moje diplomová práce je zaměřena na problematiku vývoje názorů na roli internetu ve vzdělávacím systému České republiky. Cílem práce je analýza postavení internetu v rámci českého vzdělávání od 90. let 20. století doposud. V první části práce se věnuji především analýze základních pojmů a teoretickému podložení problematiky na základě poznatků autorů odborných publikací. Ve stěžejní empirické části se formou přehledové studie zabývám analýzou vývoje názorů na roli internetu v českém vzdělávacím systému od 90. let 20. století. Časově je na základě dat z dostupných odborných zdrojů vymezuji do charakteristických období, která podrobuji vzájemnému srovnání pohledem technologického i edukačního diskursu. V diplomové práci hledám odpověď na to, jakým způsobem se vyvíjely názory na využívání internetu ve vzdělávacím systému České republiky od 90. let 20. století, na jaká časová období lze tento vývoj konkrétně rozdělit, jaké jsou názory na výhody a nevýhody využití internetu ve vzdělávacím systému, a zda a proč vznikaly diferenciované pohledy na užívání internetu z hlediska technologického determinismu.

Abstract:

My diploma thesis is focused on the topic of development of opinions on the role of the Internet in the educational system in Czech Republic. The aim of this thesis is to analyse the position of the Internet in Czech education from the 1990s to the present. The first part of the thesis is focused mainly on the analysis of basic terms and the theoretical background of the topic based on the findings of the authors of professional publications. In the main empirical part which is written by overview study form, the development of the opinions on the role of the Internet in the Czech educational system from the 1990s is analysed. These opinions are delimited in time to characteristic periods that are compared to each other via technological and educational discourse based on data from the available professional sources. This diploma thesis is looking for an answer to the question how the opinions about the use of the Internet in the education system of the Czech Republic from the 1990s were developing, what time periods their development can be divided into, what the opinions on the advantages and disadvantages of the use of the Internet in the education system are and whether and why different views on the use of the Internet were created from the point of view of technological determinism.
