This thesis deals with analysis of colors in the Polish proverbs and their meaning according to the dictionary of symbols. The first, theoretical part, focuses on the theory of phraseology, the definition of proverbs, their themes and occurrence over the centuries. Tato práce se věnuje analýze barev v polských příslovích a jejich významu podle slovníku symbolů. První, teoretická část, se zaměřuje na teorii frazeologie, definici přísloví, jejich tématiku a výskyt v průběhu staletí. Dále se zabývá jazykovým obrazem světa a jeho historií.
