The ignous rocks radioactivity of the Lugicum East margin.

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá měřením koncentrací K, U a Th v rámci magmatických těles východního okraje lugické oblasti, pomocí gamaspektrometru PGIS 128, zapůjčeného pro tento výzkum od společnosti Envinet a.s. Gamaspektrometricky byly proměřeny masivy litický, novohrádecký, olešnický, zábřežský a dvě menší magmatická tělesa – gabro u obce Pěčín a gabrodiorit na Špičáku (Deštné v Orlických horách). V průběhu terénních prací byly odebrány horninové vzorky, ze kterých byly vyhotoveny leštěné výbrusy pro studium v polarizačním mikroskopu. Vybrané horninové vzorky byly rovněž podrobený laboratornímu měření koncentrací K, U a Th, které sloužilo k ověření přesnosti terénního stanovení. Z naměřených dat vyplývá, že všechny čtyři granitoidní masivy jsou si podobné v koncentracích K, U i Th. Koncentrace draslíku se pohybují v rozmezí 1,4-1,9 %, koncentrace uranu spadají do rozmezí hodnot 2,9-3,9 ppm a obsahy thoria nabývají hodnot 8,1-10,6 ppm. Větší odchylky v koncentracích K, U a Th byly naměřeny mezi gabrovitými tělesy (1,9 % u draslíku, 1,7 ppm u uranu a 7,1 ppm u thoria). Důvodem je nejspíše složitá geomorfologie tělesa (gabro u Pěčína) a vlastní mineralogické složení (gabrodiorit na Špičáku).

Abstract:

This work is focused on the measuring of the concetrations of potassium, uranium and thorium in the igneous rock massifs of the Lugicum eastern margin (Bohemian Massif). The in-the-field measurements were done by PGIS 128 gamma spectrometer, which was lent from the company Envinet a.s. The measurements were done on the Litice massif, Nový Hrádek massif, Olešnice massif, Zábřeh massif, Pěčín (gabbro) massif and Špičák (gabbro-diorite) massif. The rock samples of the studied massifs were also collected during the in-the-field measurements. They were used for the preparation of the thin sections and for the laboratory gamma spectrometry measuring. The results of the laboratory gamma spectrometry measuring were used for the in-the-field measurements verification. According to the in-the-field measurements is evident, that all of four granitic massifs are very simillar in concentrations of potassium, uranium and thorium. The concentration of potassium varies from 1,4 to 1,9 %, the concentrations of uranium are between 2,9 and 3,9 ppm and the concentrations of thorium varies from 8,1 to 10,6 ppm. The higher difference in concentrations of potassium, uranium and thorium was obtained during measuring of the two smaller gabbro massifs (the values of difference are 1,9 % by potassium, 1,7 ppm by uranium and 7,1 ppm by thorium). This particular difference in concetrations could be the most probably caused by difficult geomorphology of the Pěčín gabbro massif and the mineral composition of the Špičák gabbro-diorite massif.
