The Design and Implementation of a Storage Server Linked to DS Cesnet

Abstract:

Cílem práce je návrh a implementace připojení datových serverů na Univerzitě Tomáš Bati ve Zlíně, Fakultě aplikované informatiky a zálohování dat na Datové úložiště Cesnet. V teoretické části jsou popsány možnosti připojení, bezpečnost přenosu a datového úložiště a návrh propojení serverů s datovým úložištěm. Praktická část se zabývá implementaci navrženého řešení, testování odezvy a výkonnosti řešení a stanovení limitů připojených zařízení.

Abstract:

The aim of the thesis is to design and implement data servers connection at Tomas Bata University in Zlín, Faculty of Applied Informatics and Data Backup to a Cesnet Data Stor-age. In the theoretical part are described the connection possibilities, the security of trans-mission and data storage and the design of connection of servers to data storage. The prac-tical part deals with the implementation of the proposed solution, the testing of the re-sponse and the performance of the solutions and the determination of the limits of the con-nected devices.
