Polybutylene Terephthalate (PBT) Degradation

Abstract:

Požadavky na chování polymerních materiálů jsou stále přísnější, proto roste potřeba studia degradačního chování polymerů vlivem tepla či jiným faktorem. Roste i spotřeba materiálů polyesterového typu. Jedním z nich je polybutylentereftalát (PBT). Jedná se o krystalický termoplastický polymer, který nabízí skvělou vyváženost mechanických a elektrických vlastností. Tato bakalářská práce je z výše zmíněných důvodů zaměřena na studium tepelné degradace polybutylentereftalátu. V první části je čtenář seznámen obecně se studovaným materiálem a v druhé je pak shrnutí výsledků praktického experimentu.

Abstract:

The requirements for the behaviour of polymers are becoming increasingly stringent, thus increasing the need to study the degradation behaviour of polymeric materials either by heat or by other factors. In addition, the consumption of polyester-type materials is increas-ing. One of them is polybutyleneterephthalate (PBT). It is a crystalline thermoplastic poly-mer that offers excellent balance of mechanical and electrical properties. Based on these facts, the bachelor thesis is focused on the study of thermal degradation of polybutylene-tereph-thalate. In the first part, the reader is generally familiar with the studied material and in the second part the results of the practical experiment are summarized.
