Application of diplomatic protocol in trade negotiations in China

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá čínskou obchodní etiketou a literaturou, která je na toto téma napsána. Cílem práce je porovnat odbornou literaturu s praktickou zkušeností osob, které v Číně obchodují a zjistit, zda se v tomto smyslu dá na literaturu spolehnout. V první kapitole se práce zabývá pojmy diplomacie, ekonomická a obchodní diplomacie, diplomatický protokol, etiketa, morálka a etika, což jsou pojmy, které jsou s tématem nerozlučně propojeny. Dále se práce zabývá nejdůležitějšími čínskými kulturními rysy. Z tohoto tématu navazuje teoretická část, která se opírá právě o již zmíněnou literaturu, která řeší téma čínské obchodní etikety při obchodním jednání. Poslední kapitola je věnována rozhovorům s osobami, které mají s tématem praktickou zkušenost. V závěru jsou detailně popsány konkrétní situace, na kterých se respondenti s literaturou shodují či naopak.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with Chinese business etiquette and the literature that has been written on the subject. The aim of the thesis is to compare the literature with the practical experience of people who do business in China and to see whether the literature can be relied upon in this sense. The first chapter of the thesis deals with the concepts of diplomacy, economic and commercial diplomacy, diplomatic protocol, etiquette, morality and ethics, concepts that are inextricably linked to the topic. Next, the thesis examines the most important Chinese cultural features. This theme is followed by a theoretical section that draws on the aforementioned literature that addresses the topic of Chinese business etiquette in business dealings. The last chapter is devoted to interviews with people who have practical experience with the topic. The conclusion details specific situations on which the interviewees agree with the literature or vice versa.
